Azevedo Loureiro e Alvarinho Vinho Verde is a fresh Portuguese white wine from the Vinho Verde DOC, made by Quinta de Azevedo in northern Portugal’s Minho region. It combines Loureiro (about 70%) and Alvarinho (about 30%) grapes, typical varieties of Vinho Verde that give the wine a lively, bright character. The wine usually pours clear with pale citrus-yellow and greenish hints, and on the nose offers intense aromas of fresh citrus, lime blossom, floral notes and subtle tropical fruit, balanced by salty, mineral undertones. On the palate it’s vibrant, refreshing and fruit-forward with zesty acidity and a crisp, clean finish, making it ideal with seafood, salads and light dishes or simply as a thirst-quenching aperitif.
